Respect for Mr. "Underground Superstar" (aka: Mr. Mootz):

Aren't we all tired nowadays, or is it really just me? Somehow I can still keep making it through each day tired or not with a (genuine) smile attached. Life is really good on many levels for me, with a few kinks here and there. The music is still pumping in all various stereo systems I own, and the love is no less. Just so happens two of the great fathers of industrial (for me at least) are influencing my life right now: Sister Machine Gun and Panacea. While some surely have varying opinions on whether or not these two are "industrial" or are really that great, they molded my ears and helped define the genre for me.

Starting with Panacea, I can recall the first time I heard "Low Profile Darkness" and how it jumped out at me as so different from anything else I had heard up until then. It had just enough structure to it though so as not to lose my attention. This was somehow both "dark" in sound, while also able to slam you against the wall with furious breaks and bass beats. Long story short, this was musical bliss for me. Mathis Mootz in my opinion was ahead of the times with his sound and helped define the sound of later artists, just like I feel John Sellekears did with his Xingu Hill project. I am currently treating myself to a look at the present version of Panacea with the Underground Superstardom release while also reliving the past of Panacea with the "Low Profile Darkness" release. There is a definite change in sound over the years, but yet I can still tell it's the mastermind of Mathis Mootz behind the music of both discs. For more info you could check out: Panacea's homepage.

Then there is SMG who came into my life with a different approach to the sound. Crossing over from strictly electronically generated music, we have the guitar powered sound of Chris Randall's Sister Machine Gun. As corny as you may find it, I first heard of SMG through the purchase of the Mortal Kombat soundtrack. The music fit in perfectly with my life at that time. I had been getting into more guitar driven music shortly before hearing of SMG but was finding I didn't like the insanity or extreme levels certain metal bands would go to (i.e. Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, etc.). Here was Chris Randall offering up something which wasn't too extreme, but had enough angst or adrenaline in it's sound to keep my immature mind from going crazy.

Well fast forward to today and although I haven't been listening to SMG too much these days, I found the crew is coming to my area and playing at the DNA Lounge. Not only is SMG playing there but so is another project I've taken a liking to: Manufactura. So I went and dug up my old Sister Machine Gun discs to place them next to the more recently played Manufactura discs to see if I still dug the sound. Sure enough it's a trip down memory lane and the weather is just right along the path to remembering what helped me get me where I am today. So as you might have suspected I'll be going to the show these two artists (along with Christ Analogue) are putting on tonight 6/16/04 !!! I'll be sure to post my thoughts on what I suspect will be another fun night of dancing around to music of my past and present. Check out the Domination Tour website which has TONS of info on the three artists country wide tour. It's nearly coming to it's end, but maybe you are one of the lucky ones whose already seen the show, or can still see it at future/upcoming shows. The tour goes until 6/30/04!.

The music took control:

There hasn't been much to add to the list of stuff bought this month. I sort of burnt most of my cash last month on music (but it was well worth it!). There have been a few new additions (not yet noted). The ones of greatest importance would be those by Swarf, Inertia and Informatik. It just so happens those same three groups are on tour right now and played at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco 5/18/04. That's thankfully on my side of the country! I had a feeling the shows would be energetic, and they lived up to that expectation beautifully.

I had heard of Swarf before last night, but had not "heard" the music. I couldn't ask for a better introduction. Beautiful vocals are provided by the lovely and friendly Liz Green, on top of beats which did not spare the club's speakers any work. The contrast of pounding, energized electro weaved together with angelic-like vocals touched both the body and the soul. Their new release "Art, Science, Exploitation" is a great listen, but do not pass up any opportunity to see them in an environment that can play the music loud with great quality sound. The experience of their music live is a memorable event. For more info about the trio see: Swarf's homepage

Next up was Inertia whose music I've been collecting over the last several years. While Inertia's constant members Reza Udhin and Alexys B. have at times slowed down their music, the pace is typically aimed at higher BPMs and making people dance to their high energy music. Their live show did just that even more so then my home or car stereo could do. The whole trio (Andrew Trail plays with them while live) were very into their music which was felt in the delivery of the sound. The new songs from "Black Ice Impact" expressed both the catchy and danceable side of their music with Reza's vocals and the deep basses adding weight and an edge to the tracks. I was quite pleased with the addition of the cover song "Fly" in their live show. It was already an enjoyable song on disc, but to see Alexys in person performing the song took it to a new level. Now I just need to patiently await the double-disc compilation of Inertia's many songs over the years: "Decade of Machines". For more details check out: Inertia's homepage.

Greetings, and welcome to the new "Enter The Machine" webpage!

After months of numerous small changes, and behind the scenes updates the new look for this page is out. I am thinking this particular layout is sleeker, and much more appealing to look at then the last. Keep in mind all of the details I'd like for this page to showcase aren't complete quite yet. The work continues, but there was enough completed so that I could make the release possible. Also, keep in mind you may still find a few errors throughout the page which I am hunting down to repair.

I must apologize for no new reviews to read as well. Been VERY busy with work as of lately, and the other changes have been taking priority. Be sure to check out the new links page, which contains more links then previously available. There is a brand new "Interesting Link" also which I came across while surfing the web, and immediately was impressed by. An amazing use of Flash and art through pictures taken on a digital camera. Take a look to judge for yourself.

I shall return with more changes, and new reading material before long!

There has finally been a new review added to the site. The review happens to also be the Featured Artist, which is none other then Melotron again! Along with the latest review I made a change to the review layout. With further knowledge on how to use Dreamweaver, I decided it was time to incorporate some of the new skills. The layout as is, while personally thought to be better then before; is not complete and still in a design process.

The only other new 'news' is the "Interesting Link" on the mainpage. It will lead anyone interested to a funny little Flash video, but there is so much more then just that video. For the big picture of where that link came from check out the main site. There are plenty of laughs to be found throughout the entire site.

The link to the beginning rough draft of my list of metal / hardcore CDs. Very rough draft right now that is visually unappealing to look at, but it will be improved. The final look of the ("Metal" music) list will be transferred over to the industrial list as soon as I complete it. The idea is to incorporate the two together on one page (i.e. through use of 'frames'). We'll get to that as time passes though.

I live!

It has AGAIN been awhile since I've provided an update here so I figured something should be said. This good stuff is what has kept me away mainly. Riffs, angst and a passion on a whole new level have been fueling my music listening sessions. There is also my busy schedule with my Dreamweaver class, online matches with the Knights of the Round Ass and Userfriendly filling my free time to the max. Not to forget my adorable monsters either! I didn't know they got BIGGER, and could be so destructive!

I am thinking it's time to add a "My Collections" link to this page also. Already there you say? Not quite since it is just "My Collection" right now, focusing strictly on my "industrial" material. There seems to be this buzz about that "Industrial music is dead! which is seeming more and more true with each passing day. The lines defining "what is industrial" were blurry already, not counting the confusion certain people create when they say bands/artists such as Marilyn Manson are industrial. Kind of hard to picture some of my electro-style material being catergorized alongside Marilyn Manson, so I must say the term is rather vague.

So! With that being said I am going to throw up my list of metal / hardcore / punk / hard rock material under the (relatively) soon to be created "My Collections" page. Not sure how I want to go about incorporating this music genre into the existing pages design. Like the About page states though, this site is still under construction and it's boundries are not tightly bound to one strict theme. I as a person grow daily, whether it be in huge leaps or the more common tiny steps am always changing and I want this page to grow with me.

With that being said I am off to go work on the soon to be expanded music collection list. For now check out the new Interesting Link in order to read a documented story of Captain James Kirk having a few good laughs with friendly scam artists ;)

New review of Negative Format's "Static" EP has been posted in the "Reviews" section. Just received in the new God Module EP last week also, which is from Sector 9 Studios like Negative Format. I bring this up since the new God Module is a nice surprise like the "Static" EP, so it might just warrant a review.

Minor adjustments were made on the site today. A standard color scheme has been decided upon for all the existing and future reviews. Went ahead and updated all of the pages to reflect that change. This site is still what I consider in it's "beta" stage, so comments and/or complaints about chosen color schemes are welcome. Email me here if you like or don't like certain colors/layouts. I hope to get the new Melotron single "Gib Mir Alles" reviewed soon also, so look for that in the near future.

Another small little detail (which was big to me) was noticed while I cleaned up around here. Nearly all of the site's pages were lacking a title, which irritated me so I fixed that. Identification process has been completed (for now).

One deletion and addition has occured here as well. The deletion was the Emotional Joystick review I had written, and had posted in the reviews section. It was brought to my attention that the review I had written was done while listening to the record at 33 rpm, when it should have been played at 45 rpm. The vinyl truly did sound good to me at 33 rpm, but to do things properly I'll be re-writing the review with my opinions of the vinyl at 45 rpm (which was just as impressive in sound to me!)

The addition was the new Interesting Link added to the main page. This will lead the interested to a database of quotes people have made, which didn't come out or across as probably intended. With that said, you can probably imagine some funny statements are made which will have you laughing!

Til next update, farewell!

Here we have another "what's new" session, and nothing is really new "industrial" wise for me. Right now my love and passion for music is focused on metal/hardcore more then anything else. Not sure how people can truly limit themselves to one style of music, and focus on that. Am I less of an "industrial fan" because I like the sound of the new 36 Crazyfists CD for one example? There is so much to listen to that is "powerful" and/or "innovating" and I'd like to hear all that I can.

I have added a new section for all of the (remembered) "Interesting Links". That section is here and it also will contain links of other sites which I check out for other interests. The most important right now that I'd like to point out is MegaKungFu.com. That site does reviews and has news on many metal/hardcore/nu-metal bands out there.

I'll write more, as more comes to mind. Musically, I don't want to start writing reviews for non-industrial stuff here (though some of it is note-worthy). The site is already a little scattered, so I see no need to scatter it further about.

8.26.02

Fell off the face of the planet for awhile there. Thankfully I found my way back though, and decided it's time to update the site. Anyone ever look at this stuff I wonder? Probably not, but can't say I don't make SOME sort of attempt at updating here and there!

So before I left on my trip to Washington DC (on August 2), I had added a review of Speedy J's "Loudboxer" disc. Since then there have been a few new additions to the collection, and they are noted in the "Just In" section. Several of them have impressed me greatly, especially the Dryft, Feindflug and Cenobita releases. Reviews in the future? I'd like to hope so!

There has been alot going on in the "industrial" world I am sure, but to be honest I've been out of it pretty much. The UVALAN4 convention I went to was a blast. It was fun getting to play Tribes 2 (amongst other games) with practically no ping, and in person with friends I had only known in forums, chats or games. Pictures of the event can be found at the Team Userfriendly homepage. Check out the news item about UVALAN4 for links to pictures and such. That particular page is a frequented site by myself since that's where my "1337" teammates hang out ;-)

So, look for more coming in the future. Next week I start taking a Dreamweaver MX class which will hopefully teach me some new techniques for this site. Maybe that dream of an efficient and visually appealing site will finally start coming together! To any who read this, thank you for checking this out.

I did it !!!! Finally, I completed the review of the Xenonics K30 release. The words weren't always there at first to write the review, and then after listening to it several times I saw a new side to the disc I had missed before. It was better I wrote the review now, and am certainly happy to share it now. There is also the Featured Artist link which has been updated with the Funker Vogt review. The only other new change to the site is Interesting Link on the main page. Check it out for some awesome Flash movies, and some mind games which are presented in a funny fashion.

Now that was an awesome 4 day weekend that just passed! Got to go to the lovely Bay Area, specifically Santa Cruz down by the ocean. After spending time with friends there (who made the weekend wonderful!) it's back north to Roseville and my little monsters. Speaking of them, I finally have better quality pictures of them to post here. Check out pictures of Fizzgig and Kailea here.

Onto other updates. New material added to my collection this last weekend, and one of them has impressed me immediately; begging to be reviewed. Once work slows down for me a bit I'll get that review up (no I am not telling you which new disc/vinyl it is! :-) ) and the promised Xenonics K-30 review. For now why not check out the Interesting Link I've got linked on the main page. No, it's not industrial (with the exception of a KOMPRESSOR remix) but it is something new and rather funny. Keep an open mind, and but not to open or you might get hit by a yellow laser beam! (see the site for the answer to what that means.... )

Only been doing a few touch ups around the place, besides the items mentioned above. I'll keep the cleaning up on the go, and yes the "new" look I am always speaking of is coming along. I have pictures, and new coding techniques which I plan to place on the site. Just planning the layout right now, and then comes the time needed to actually make the changes. I'll get the site there someday, promise.

Things are STILL slow going, as anyone who checks would know. The updates on the My Collection page are continuing. I did a review as promised also. This one being a review of Dubok who is also the "Featured Artist" this week. Next review looks to be a review of the new Xenonics K-30 CD. Just got the disc yesterday, and it has already left an impression!

I have pictures which will be making it to the website hopefully soon also. I could just throw them out (like I do everything else practically), but I want to try and plan a layout first before doing that. The pictures I think will help define the site more so then the bland look it has now.

I shall be back with more goodies before long hopefully!

Pretty quiet around here isn't it? I am guilty of not reviewing anything lately, mainly because I've been listening to other material which this site does not cater to (i.e. hard trance, metal, punk etc.). Not to say there isn't SOME industrial material I've listened to. I'll get something up and going soon.

For now I've been working on updating the My Collection page. It was a mess, and still is somewhat. A little less so, since the navigation is slightly better. It is still quite outdated though, and will require more work. That is my current task, and next will be reviews! I'll see if I can get one in, in the meantime also.

More changes have occured, and more still to come. This site's initial page, "intro page" if you will; is something I've wanted for awhile. It's a fairly simple picture, which shall be enhanced with time. I wanted to get that setup now though, and have the site's startup sound be there. Another new change is the removal of the "second browser" window which opened whenever clicking on a link on the main page. Pretty much everything should be under one window now (except for the "Interesting Link"). I thought that idea of a seperate window wasn't too bad at first, but time proved it was an annoying function.

No new reviews yet, but plenty to review. Thinking of reviewing the latest Magwheels CD "Lanterns" next. We'll see if I do that though. I did add a few more pictures to the page, and these are of my new kittens Fizzgig and Kailea. The pictues are not of great quality since they were done with my webcam, but the basic idea is there. Yes, true that's not "industrial" related, but this is my site so I say what goes! ::LoL:: Who can resist adorable kittens anyways (especially when you don't have to clean up after them, just admire them! Clean up is *my* responsibility).

Couple things on other people's pages. Check out Recycle Your Ears for some awesome news on the "industrial" scene, and more reviews. SE7EN also recently added a ton of reviews on music, so that's another great place to check. Closer to home is a new addition to the "Korawest" site, Wizzer! Wizzer (aka Steve) is Arik's brother in law, and a friend I met through Arik. Check out Wizfilm Productions which is the site advertising Wizzer's progress on his first film "Descendant Rising." Maybe I am easily impressed, or because Wizzer is a friend; but I must say the idea for the movie seems well planned out. Wizzer has even asked me to work on the soundtrack for this film! Can't say I am all that skilled in the area of music, but I figure I can give it a shot. I'll post more on the idea as more information comes to light.

Please let me know if there are any links which are found broken, or if you have any complaints/ideas about the site as is. I can be found many places on the net, but let's just have email sent to DarksLiyht. Again, please bear with me as the site continues to be ripped up and re-arranged. Thanks for checking this all out!

Woohoo! Finally did a major change to the site's look! Too bad I am not satisfied with it :( Oh well, need to experiment sometimes to find out what works and what doesn't. Learned something new though, and gained more insight into what it is I'll eventually want. Have you checked out the Interesting Link yet? That site there is what I'd like to see "Enter The Machine" look similar to someday. That look is way far off though, but goals in mind are a must!

In other news, there are two new reviews. First is a review of Emotional Joystick and the other is of Spark. Still have a backlog of CDs/vinyls to review, but that information should go in my "What's Old" directory ;)

Visually enhancing the site is my next priority, alongside reviews. Check out the About E.T.M. section for a look at this site's banner. The theme and look of that banner is something along the lines of the visuals I plan to add to the site in the future. Thanks goes to Andrew, a friend and co-worker for making my ideas come to life. Never to forget Arik either who has been subjected to my demands for an improved Flash for the site. The "Enter The Eyeball" flash currently presented (an inside joke, which Arik knows I am only prodding about!) is temporary. Experimentations shall continue for the site's new look, so please bear with me as this goes on.

Two new reviews added this week so far. One can be found as the Featured Artist and that is of Lusine icl. The other is of Noisex and it is under the "Reviews" section. The style of my review writing has taken a change with the last two reviews also. I am hoping to keep the reviews a little shorter, and concise. I myself don't mind reading a novel about music which is interesting, but I realize not everyone shares that opinion. Thoughts, comments, complaints are welcome.

I am also going to be changing the .wav file that plays as this site's intro. It's a fun .wav that makes me smile upon hearing it, but doesn't fit the site's theme. Not sure what I am going to use in it's place, and or how long the .wav will be. Going to be thinking about it, and hopefully will have it changed soon.

Only other new looks, would be a slight tweaking of colors on pages; this page and also the "New to the Collection" page. There is also new pic, plus better defined 'Location:' on the "Who's Bry'n" page. I'll be back with more updates soon!

The "About E.T.M." page is up now, hopefully adding a little bit of direction to the page for those who stumble across it. Not likely anyone finds this page now, but possibly someday. New Haujobb review is finished and posted. Working on reviewing the Noisex "Groupieshock" CD at this time. There is of course tons more to review (as the "New to the Collection" slightly shows). I am working with Arik/Anthar (it's mainly his hard work actually ;P ) at this time to bring up our shoutcasting page. This will be used for not only broadcasting/recording of online matches, but also as a source from which we can broadcast our musical interests. I'd love to play some of the music I have at my disposal for others to hear. Just need to work the bugs out, and then to get the audience. Drop me a line at DarksLiyht if the idea sounds interesting to you.

The Trucido and Urawa reviews have been completed, Trucido's being the Featured Artist at this time. Still working on more reviews. Haujobb's "Penetration" MCD review being the next probably. A ton of vinyl and CDs are enroute or soon to be enroute to my place. Now that I have a turntable, I can finally listen to all of the awesome material that's out there. I'll be reviewing vinyl's also, just like CDs. It's all just a matter of time.

Creation of the "new look" for this page is going slow. I want to get it out, and viewable but I keep coming across bugs in it which delays me further. It doesn't help that I am having to self teach myself "html" or ask my friend Arik who is also self teaching himself >;-P In due time though, it shall occur!!

Anyone ever wonder what the point of this page is, and why I use the title "webzine" for it when it isn't really one in the full sense? Well, I plan on answering that question soon by adding a new section explaining my goals with this page. Thank you for coming to check this page (those of you who do). Please email me if something doesn't work, or make sense. I'll do my best to explain what goes on in my mad mind :)

p.s. Check out the "Interesting Link of the Link" for some funny stuff. A webpage I found under strange circumstances, but am happy I did. Mind you the humor used is very sarcastic, and possibly considered "sick." Someone out there though will get a kick out of it though!!!

Added a new review to the "Reviews" section of Phonem's 'Ilisu' CD. Soon to be coming, reviews of Trucido, Mystral Tide, E-Craft and Urawa. Need more time in the day! ;) I'll get all this done eventually.

5.15.02

Just added the "Reviews" section. There are three reviews within it, one being archived and two being new. One of the new ones, the review of 'Halo_Gen' is also "Artist of the Week." Maybe these'll be coming sooner then before now! Next I hope to have a review for Savak's "The Taliban Pistol" CD, Mystral Tide's "W.O.S." CD and the Trucido EP "Regression" posted. Keep checking back.

This may all be moving soon also! Arik and I have gone ahead with purchasing our own domain name this week =) The page is named after our online gaming team, "KoRa" which stands for "Knights of the Round Ass." Yes, we are totally serious about the name!!! The team is made up of strictly west coast United States players, and the purpose is to have fun (= We can be found on all sorts of games, ranging from Unreal Tournament, Tribes 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and as of lately Jedi Knight II ! If you are a west coast gamer, that wants to join the family, drop me a line at DarksLiyht. The webpage for us (still under construction mind you) is www.korawest.net. This webpage (Enter The Machine) is planned to be moved to this url "www.enterthemachine.korawest.net." (this is still in the moving process though, and does not yet exist.)

Next piece of news that I am very excited about, is the further infiltration of my reviews across the net! :) A friend whom lives in Japan, has offered to host my reviews on his webpage alongside his own. This friend is none other then the man responsible for "Mystral Tide", Ivan Bullock. I came across Ivan/Mystral Tide via a link on the www.newempire.com. webpage one day while surfing the net. I downloaded several MP3's on the Mystral Tide website (www.mystraltide.com.) and was immediately impressed with the sounds Ivan was creating. From there came the purchase of Mystral Tide's "Whirlpool of Souls" CD (which I *must* review here!), and several emails between Ivan and I that told me there is not only great music here but a great person behind the sound. I have not been proven wrong yet :) So again I must say I am pleased and honored to have the oppurtunity of sharing my reviews with Ivan. If you have a moment check out his page, and all it has to offer. Not only is the site beautifully laid out, but contains many interesting mp3's, reviews (Ivan's own), videos and info leading you to Ivan's other musical project "Trucido" (which will also be reviewed here).

It's my best friend's birthday today !!!! Woohooo !!! I'll be going out of town to visit him, so I won't be around to update the page for... a month? :) Nah, I am going to be back Sunday night, but anyone who checks knows I don't update this page often. Today is one of those rare days though.

Bry'n
4.26.02

Interesting Link of the Week, check it out !!! The animations are hilarious on that webpage (as long as you don't mind a little sick humor). Next off, time for another review. Of what though? Something in the style of rhythmic noise comes to mind.... there are so many CDs to review, and between listening to them, working (day and night jobs) and online gaming I don't get to write much. There is also that accursed sleep which I must deal with. If I cut sleep out of my schedule, that's at least 5 more hours to my day !!!

So, the latest and greatest.... plenty of great material coming out in the rhythmic noise, DnB, ambient genre !!! I still continue to go back and forth between those previously mentioned styles and dance/techno material (tryout Atomic Babies!). I even like some of the songs on the Blade 2 soundtrack (hybrid of rap/electronica musicians getting together).

One thing I've noticed other sites that review industrial do, is get kind of trendy. It seems like nothing seems to stay interesting for long with listeners these days. Always gotta have the "latest" and stay up with what's "new." Granted I don't go back as far in the history of industrial music as others do (started collecting seriously in '96), but I am known to still listen to and enjoy material from the early '90s. Am I getting old, and outdated by doing such things? I don't think so. Its when I start saying "wish it were like the old days" that I've become outdated or stagnant in my music listening. New material has a sense of mystery to it certainly. Even I am drawn to new material because of this. It seems important to me though, that we don't forget where it all came from. Everything seems to go full circle anyways, so we'll see material coming back before long with new tweeks to it (i.e. The use of 'guitars', sampled or not in industrial music). I can no longer say I won't *ever* like something again or ever, for life doesn't work like that. It's ever changing, and so are we.

Hope no one minded the rambling, just had thoughts in mind I've been meaning to share. Thanks for reading this far, if you have ;)

Brian is dead !!!!
That's the way it seems at least I am sure. No updates to the page. No reviews happening, no new link of the week and NADA in the interesting dept. for the page.... hmmm, can we say I've been lazy? I'd say I was busy, but truth is I could probably have done *something* to the page. I have a bazillion new CDs I could review. Many of them quite outstanding even, and deserving recognition. The problem is I keep getting MORE CDs, and end up listening to them and so I listen and listen but don't review. Not to big a deal now, since no one reads the reviews anyways, but it's not a good start for my desires for the page.
So what have I been up to? Music collecting/listening, online gaming, and working. Many other misc. activities have been going on, but that's the main part of it. What new stuff have I ordered? Check out the link for "New CDs to the Collection" they should nearly all be there. Anyone curious how a certain CD sounds? I'd take the time to let you know if you like.
The updates will be coming, just not as fast as everyone may like (or I may like). They'll be here though. Thanx for checking back!

Maybe it's been noticed, and for those that notice then let me say I apologize for not having done updates lately. I got myself sick last week (02/19/02) and was pretty much out of it then. I am now starting to gather back my strength to do this (page updating), but then another dilemma struck.... I have been rather stagnant in my web explorations, and then my interest in "industrial" music faded (again). Blasphemy you say, and I know it's true. I don't care though (= I have so many other musical interests, I refuse to be stuck to one. Lately its been either metal/rock music and/or something of a danceable nature (trance or techno). Kind of hard to write a review on Pain Station's new CD when I am listening to a trance mix eh? ;-P This is not to say Pain Station's CD was any less impressive, for the disc itself is of great quality.... for the genre. That's just not where my heart is right now. Someday I'll write that review I am sure.

So that leaves me at where to go next. I want to do an overhaul on this page drastically. I am looking to add graphics, and make it more seamless in appearance. It feels dated, and "simple" to me, which doesn't do for my desires. With time I'll learn to make it the site of flashy colors I dream of it being (= Thanx for checking back, for those that do.
