"An
'Industrial Webzine' in the making" ??? What is the 'exact' definition
of a webzine? Does it not only need reviews, but also "news" on
what the page's theme is? Does it need to have interviews with
artists relating to the "industrial music" scene ? Part of me
says 'yes', but that isn't how I am planning on running things
here..... for the time being at least.
The original
plan for this site was to make it a place for reviews of old and
current 'industrial' music. That term 'industrial music' is huge
now, and continues to grow more obscure with each passing year.
There seems to always be something new that has borders crossing
into other genres. Out there are other webzines which review and
report 'industrial' material, and they are very informative. Some
so informative, I've linked them on my links
page. I am going to leave the news reporting to these other
sites. They seem to have either good contacts, or much more time
then I do to track down the news they report; which I certainly
admire. Please take a look at these other sites if you haven't
already, as you probably will find something of interest at them.
My reviews
here will be mainly based around electro, rhythmic noise, ambient,
drum and bass and technoid music. I can't say that'll be all I
ever review, for who knows what else will come out. Artist wise
I hope to review material that isn't either reviewed by others,
or strikes me as truly impressive (or hideous, should that occur).
The other thing I wished to do here is maintain a
list of the vinyl and CDs I own for anyone to see. Should
any viewers see something of interest, and are curious what the
sound is like; I'll write a review upon request if I haven't done
so already. Should any reviews I write come across as to biased,
or stating incorrect info (I'll try not to do that) I'll openly
listen to comments from the readers. I want this page, and it's
content to be not only fun for me to do, but also informative
and interesting to you the reader.
There
are other oddities to be found here as well, such as the "Interesting
Link" (I update here and there on the mainpage), "Pictures",
and numerous other un-linked oddities (such as my page of several
poems I wrote). Then there is the whole reference to "KoRa"
which is related to my online gaming hobby/interest. As of right
now this page is a mix of "personal info"
and "industrial info." In time, this may change depending upon
the success of the page, my own interests and/or the events in
my life which will come up with surprising new twists I'd not
expect.
